Image Compressor
Shrink JPEG, PNG and WebP images in your browser — see the real size reduction before you download.
Upload an image, see its original dimensions, then resize it to any width and height you choose — with an aspect-ratio lock, generic social-size presets, a live preview, and a one-click download. Everything runs locally in your browser.
Generic sizes only — not official platform requirements.
Upload any image your browser can decode. The tool shows a preview and the original pixel dimensions. Enter the width and height you want, or pick one of the generic presets, then press Resize to generate the output.
The resized image is drawn on a local canvas at exactly the dimensions you selected, previewed on screen, and offered as a downloadable file. The output filename keeps your original name with the new dimensions appended.
With the aspect-ratio lock switched on, editing one dimension automatically recalculates the other, so circles stay circular and faces never stretch. Switch it off when you deliberately need a different shape.
The presets cover common needs — square, portrait, landscape and story-style shapes. They are generic starting points, clearly labelled as such, and you can fine-tune the numbers after selecting one.
Enlarging a small image beyond its original size cannot add detail — the result will look softer the further you upscale. For the sharpest results, start from the highest-resolution source you have and scale down, not up.
Resizing is done with the browser's high-quality image smoothing, and the output is saved as PNG to preserve detail.
A typical result. A creator uploads a 4000×3000 photo, picks the Story preset (1080×1920) with aspect-ratio lock off and cropping handled in their editor, then downloads a correctly sized file ready to post.
The presets are generic, widely used sizes — they are not claimed to be any platform's official requirements. Platforms change their recommendations, so always check the current official specs of the platform you publish to.
Yes. When the aspect-ratio lock is on, changing the width automatically updates the height (and vice versa) so the image never stretches. Turn it off to enter any width and height independently.
No. Resizing happens entirely in your browser. Your image is never uploaded.
Dimensions must be whole numbers between 1 and 8000 pixels. Invalid entries show a clear error message and nothing is processed until the values are valid.
